(More customer reviews)I bought these for my daughter to pacify her desire to get real gauges. They looked great, but the post is too big to go through her pierced ear. It is similar to the size of a belly button ring. Not really sure why they would sell a "fake plug" that has to have a real gauged size piercing to go through.

(More customer reviews)So, I have numerous friends who wear actual gauges in their ears. I think it's pretty cool, but I don't want to stretch my earlobe like that. For those of you, who want the look of plugs, but don't want the stretched earlobes this is the solution.
The only thing you should really know is that the wire is a 16g wire (normal ear piercings are usually around 18g) and so it's a little hard to get in your ears at first, but once they're in, they look real. I love my fake plugs and plan to get different designs from this seller in the near future.

(More customer reviews)This earring gave me an infection. I would like to say that in advanced. However, I guess it's my fault because I screwed it on too tight. Other than that, it is a pretty decent deal.
The taper was a bit too heavy for my Buddha ears, so I sawed off the ends and it looks just like plugs.
REMEMBER to wash them DAILY! Do not screw them on too tight, or you will get an infection!

I showed a few people the backs to allow them to see that they were just regular earrings and they were amazed at how real they looked. i would get real gauges but my job title doesn't allow me to, so these are a great alternative. hope this helps! :]

The guy tried to rip me off by selling me a pair of stainless steel expanders, which he said could only be special ordered at $60 bucks! After searching on Amazon, I saw these and decided they fit my needs perfectly! Not only were they good-looking, but I wouldn't have to stretch my existing holes. (More customer reviews)I got this to see if i would like the look of having my ears gauged, the earring works great the only bad thing i have found with this is the rubber you see on the outside is an O ring and sometimes likes to fall off, it usually does this when sleeping probably due to me hitting it or rubbing the pillow, everytime it has done it when i was awake it came off toward my ear so it never fell on the floor. but it only takes a few seconds to put back on so it's not too big a hassle, they just should have made the groove for the O ring a little bigger. Oh and the earring's gauge looks like the end of a cigarette in size in case anyone is wondering

I've been wearing them for a while now, and as far as looks go, they're just big enough to be noticeable but not too big to look obviously fake. So, if you really want the look of tapers, but don't think stretching your lobes is your thing, then these are definitely for you.
However, I had to take one star off because of the quality of metal used on the 16g wire. When I first started wearing them, I didn't have any problems, but as of late, I noticed my ears started getting irritated from wearing these earrings all the time, so I took the time to clean both my earlobes and the earrings regularly and much more carefully than before. Though, even then, I cannot wear these earrings for long periods of time. These are the only pair of earrings that I've had this problem with. My piercings are NOT infected by any means, just irritated. So, beware if you have very sensitive ears.
